A day out in Brighton……..
Consider taking the bus – it stops by the Sealife Centre
You could start at the Sealife Centre (visitsealife.com/brighton). Tickets are cheaper when bought online.
The Palace Pier (close to the Sealife Centre) is great for young visitors. You can buy a wristband in advance online (brightonpier.co.uk). This includes funfair rides & a soft play area.
For budding artists, you could create or paint something in clay at ‘The Painting Pottery Cafe’ in North Laine (31, North Road, BN1 1YB). However, as it takes 3-4 days to kiln your artwork, you either need to go back into Brighton to collect the item, or have it posted on to you. Look online: paintingpotterycafe.co.uk, or phone ahead on 01273 628952 for more details.
For an amazing view over Brighton and across the sea, the i360 is a must! Again, it’s cheaper to book online britishairwaysi360.com. Rides take about 30 minutes, and takeoff is along the Seafront (10 minute walk west, from the Palace Pier).
For lunch, there are several cafes by the beach, serving fish and chips. For pizzas, Donnatello’s is great – excellent food, good value and child-friendly. Expect it to be busy, though!
